Food for thought...

"I bought a Domicile condo a few years ago and it was the same thing, no light or ceiling fixtures in the bedrooms. I asked at the time and I got some mumbled response about "interior design enhancements from a non-ceiling light source"... whatever. When I walk into a room, I like to switch on the light. So I had to "upgrade" to have a ceiling outlet for a light fixture. The default setup in most new condos is that the light switch is connected to one of the outlets farther out in the room, which you use to plug in a standing lamp or something. It just wasn't enough for me, but that's what they all seem to be doing nowadays."
